Is this the beastie?

Note the American Bigfoot Society copyright all over that sucker.
Recently I have seen a lot of images coming over internet that depict the big hairy fellow I used to look for.  In fact, I used to be a member of the American Bigfoot Society.  I held a title of some sort, I think, but I can't remember what it was..

In any case, the pictures and videos are each interesting in their own way, but also they make you go --hmm, why is this that or the other thing not optimal.

Why is this fellow pointed the other way, for instance?

If you want my opinion, that's as real as any bigfoot ever gets.  But I hope you will take that in the spirit in which I mean it.

I seriously doubt a natural species of manlike hairy animal roams our woods.

I believe people actually see and describe accurately a manlike hairy animal roaming the woods.

What they really see is the question.  Is it real in the flesh?  Is it something projected upon the mind by a hidden source?

I have no idea, but one of my favorite theories is that bigfoot is a bio-engineered reconnaissance drone dropped off by "aliens" (whatever they are, and they could be lots of different things, cf Vallee's Passage to Magonia or Redfern's Final Events) to do something specific, which sometimes is be seen by somebody.

And then sometimes something more covert, and seeing them is accidental.

If that's true, I doubt very much that any photograph like this one would be authentic unless it suited those aliens' agenda to have the hairy fellow seen.  And if that's the case, why back first?

My other favorite theory is that bigfoot is not a living creature yet, but if "they" can get enough people believing in it, it will be.  To achieve that, "they" get inside our heads and cause some of us to see the beastie, and others to hoax the beastie, looking for a groundswell of belief so that they can release the beastie..

Neither of these theories may be worth the digital paper they are written on, but there it is.

So is that a real picture of a bigfoot?  It's as real as any bigfoot ever gets..
